I knew Mr. Daniel D. Cantor, when he was President of the Talmud Torah of Flatbush in Brooklyn, N.Y., from 1955-1960, as well as his dear wife Lucille, and his daughter Leslie. Mr. Cantor was a very kind hearted individual, and brought activity and programs to the Talmud Torah, during his five years of dynamic leadership. On March 26, 1960, the Talmud Torah honored him, as their Guest of Honor. The latter function was held at the Yeshivah of Flatbush, and Jennie Grossinger, of Grossinger's Hotel was at the dinner, in which he was honored. She stated that "Grossinger's has everything, including the wonderful friendship of Mr. & Mrs. Daniel D. Cantor". Mr. Cantor was also very kind to my parents. I remember him dancing at my brother's Bar-Mitzvah reception, and at a number of Shul events. I last saw him in 1972, but thought of him often. My Aunt and Uncle told me that they attended his 90th birthday celebration two years ago, and mentioned to Mr. Cantor how they remembered him from the Talmud Torah of Flatbush. We shall never forget him!

Dan was one of the last survivors of the family generation of my late father, Shalom Levin - his cousin from Tel-Aviv. He expressed his generousity by donating a lectures hall in Bar-Ilan University in the name of his parents and my late father as well. My condolences to Ehrla. May his soul rest in peace.

I did not know Mr. Cantor personally but I knew of the good work he did. I work at the Daniel Cantor Senior Center, Computer Dept for the last 10 years. We teach seniors to use computers. Our Seniors love the Center and they feel this is their home away from home. The seniors look forward to coming every day. Thank you Dan Cantor for this wonderful Center for our elderly seniors.
