DANIEL SHERR Obituary

SHERR--Daniel Alan, remembered as 'the intrepid adventurer.' He died July 27, 2013 at his home in Roxbury New York. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Mayhall Sherr and loving son of Anne Nevard Sherr. His father, S. Irving Sherr, predeceased him in 2012. He leaves his brother Robert Sherr, his sister-in-law Deborah and his nephews Bruno and Chris of New Jersey. He loved his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. As an avid open boater, Danny canoed over 100,000 miles of rivers and supported The American Whitewater Association. He documented his experiences through journaling and illustrations. Danny shared the love of golf with his father. He graduated from Emory University and studied urban planning at UT Austin. Danny devoted himself to discovering new music by playing the guitar and archiving garage rock. He was a staunch believer in Israel. Danny was a founding underwriter of WIOX radio station in Roxbury.
