DAVIDA ROTHBERG Obituary

ROTHBERG--Davida Barbara. Rothberg, Davida Barbara - born July 17, 1944; died November 23, 2025 after a short illness. She was the adored wife of Richard; beloved mother of Suzanne and Patti; and cherished sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend to all those closest to her. She was loved and admired by all who knew her or were touched by her life. Davida was an accomplished singer, actress, interviewer and radio and TV talk show host. She began her career in Marion, Indiana, as one of the first-ever female teen-age radio disc jockeys. After high school she came to New York, studied at the Musical Theater and Dramatic Academy, worked in many capacities at Metromedia's Channel 5, and hosted many talk shows in Westchester and New York. Davida trained as a Romper Room lady for children's television, and spent many hours as a hospital play nurse for children victimized by burns, cancer and other afflictions. Her beautiful voice and many other talents were a constant presence at the Lambs, the renowned theatrical club and meeting place for persons involved in the performing arts and related careers. The needs of hungry children and animals of all species were a constant preoccupation for her. Her family would welcome and appreciate contributions in her memory to any charity of the donor's choice, and in particular to Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Feed the Children and Blood Cancer United.
