DONALD HOLDEN Obituary
died peacefully April 25 at age 86. Don led a charmed life. A writer, he led PR at the Metropolitan Museum; wrote a book on Whistler and 12 "how-to" art books as Wendon Blake. At 56 he became a full time artist. His luminous watercolors grace 42 museums, leading to 19 solo shows and to "Donald Holden Watercolors" 2004. He was loved for his hugs, generosity, brilliance and keen wit. He leaves behind his bereft wife of 63 years, Willi; children Wendy and Blake; grandchildren Lila and Sophie.
