The board of directors of The MacDowell Colony are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend Donna MacNeil, wife of former MacDowell Chairman Robert MacNeil. We will miss Donna, whose quick wit, warmth, and vital energy brightened every gathering. Our deepest sympathies to her family.

I worked with Donna a lifetime ago at Monte Sano & Pruzan, and also with mercurial Jacques Tiffeau. Donna made a sometimes very difficult job easier. She was a steady, calming influence in the oftimes turbulent world of fashion.
