DOUGLAS B. LEEDS

LEEDS--Douglas B. The Board of Trustees and Staff of the Whitney Museum of American Art note with sadness the passing of former Trustee and longtime friend, Doug Leeds. In 1985 he founded the Museum's Lobby Gallery Associates, a visionary young donor group that paved the way for many young art councils throughout the city including Whitney Contemporaries. A member of the museum for almost three decades and a passionate supporter of the arts, Doug will always be remembered for his affable nature and warm smile.
