EDGAR ROEPER Obituary

ROEPER--Edgar Max.

It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of husband, brother and friend Edgar Max Roeper, 67, who passed away after a lifelong struggle with lymphoma on November 23, 2015. An avid tennis player and a fan of the game (along with the New York Rangers and Mets), Edgar had unique wit and intellect and a special relationship with each and every person who knew him. He was always clever and generous. Edgar is survived by his soulmate and wife of 20 years, Jane Epstein. He will be missed by his sisters, Lilian and Linda, and in-laws, Andy, Randy, Bruce, Sue and Jeff, and mother-in-law, Muriel, as well as his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. The laughter and love we shared made all of our lives richer. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at 11:30am at The Plaza Jewish Community Chapel. Donations in Edgar's memory may be made to the Carolinas HealthCare Foundation (Levine Cancer Institute Carolinas HealthCare Hematology Research Fund, 1221 East Morehead Street, Charlotte, NC 28204); The Weill Cornell Medicine Lymphoma Program, Division of Hematology-Oncology (525 East 68 Street, Box 403, New York, NY 10065); or The Central Park Conservancy.
