As I've stated before Dr Amorosi treated me for lymphoma in 1985. He was serious when he was working, but I deal with things differently. After the first round of blood tests verified that I had lymphoma, and they also showed that I had thalassemia. Dr. Amorosi was, of course, concerned about the cancer, but I was focused on the thalassemia. I asked him "what I could I do to improve my thalassemia symptoms"? He gave me one word-"Rest". I replied "I thought you were a big shot hematologist and that's all you have". He smiled and kept thinking. Smart man. Great man. Vinnie Russo

Dr. Amorosi treated me for Lymphoma in 1985. I am here to talk about it. I am forever grateful to your father. My favorite story about your father, and I have many, was when he first explained the side effects of the six rounds of chemotherapy that I was about to start. He listed many and almost guaranteed that my reproductive system would suffer some damage. My wife and I wanted to start a family, which would cause a delay a delay in my treatment. Dr. Amorosi would have none of this. This was Thursday, and he wanted to start on Monday. We went against your father, and my wife became pregnant. Nine months later, I was fine, and our son, Christian, was born. For one follow up we brought our baby. Your father lifted him high, and said "This was a good idea." We all laughed. My wife was also treated by your father for AML for awhile, but eventually Dr. Cook became her oncologist. Sadly, my wife passed away in 2009. Your father was very upset, and I felt bad for him. I owe so much to your father. I loved making him smile, because he was so serious on the job. I don't know what made me check on his status, but my sincere condolences on the loss of a great man. Thank you. Vinnie Russo [email protected]

I met Dr. Amorosi in 1983 when I was 32. I had developed a very rare blood disorder , after giving birth to my son
. I was so scared and this wonderful, passionate, and brilliant man helped to save me finally after 10 years.
I remember waking up at three in the morning several times, and he would be at my bedside. He came to see me several times a day , and then I knew I would survive , knowing I was in such competent hands.
Rest in Peace my Angel on Earth.
Sincere Condolences to the family.
Sincerely,
Madeline Brooks
