Liz Moynihan and her husband, Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan held a special place in our hearts. My husband, Joel Schnur, worked with the Senator for a number of years when he first sought the Senate seat and became close friends. And I had my own relationship with the Senator having led the Greater NY Conference on Soviet Jewry for more than a decade. The Senator and Liz were committed supporters and stood with us year in and year out at Solidarity Sunday for Soviet Jewry. They both are truly missed.

While we are sad with cries, WE must remember the soul never dies. Elizabeth Moynihan has only transition to the next world. Her words and actions will continue to inspire those who have the initiative about her life to inquire. So when the tears for a loved one have dried up and gone.
