Ellen my aunt I miss every day of my life. She was very much like a mom to me. She was my mother´s sister and she was always there for me to listen to, to talk to and guide me through in every way. When she got sick I never thought that she´d be taken from us like she was. I will always miss Ellen and I´m just so sad that she isn´t here with us today I know that so many things would be different and she deserved to live a longer life. I pray that she is just resting peacefully. I love you Ellen forever and always xoxo

Dear Warren,
Every time I met Ellen I knew that she and you were perfectly matched- people of quiet grace, organization, respect, and deep devotion. May her memory be an inspiration that cheers you for having had the blessing of your years spent together, always seeking that which is of true worth and lasting value.

It was always a pleasure seeing Ellen. I would meet her and Warren in the supermarket on many occasions. She was always dedicated to her students, friends, and most importantly, her Husband Warren. She will always be remembered as a gentle and loving person. Roberta H. Bklyn.

I knew Ellen for years. During that time, she was always supportive when I had problems. She visited me when I was sick, and frequently included me in activities with Warren. We went swimming, out to eat and she never failed to invite me for New Years when I was in New York.
She was supportive when I decided to go to law school at an ungodly age after I retired. She never discouraged me because of my age, but encouraged. I spoke to her after I had my bout with a tumor and was taking chemo.
I have fond memories of my experiences with Warren and Ellen. I understand the type of loss that Warren is now feeling after having shared his life with Ellen for more than thirty years.
I have difficulty writing in a blog like this, probably because it brings tears to my eyes.
I am sorry Warren, feel free to delete this. Call whenever you want... I'll try to get back to you ... but sometimes, my crazy schedule is not in sync with the rest of the world.

My friendship with Ellen began when we were both assigned to work at the same school as ed evaluators. We were "teammates" who shared an office, countless hours together and many many laughs. It was totally my good fortune to have worked with Ellen. She could solve any problem that came our way, calm me down when there were difficult personalities and complicated cases to deal with. Ellen was a godsend for me. She was kind, competent, always patient. Ellen always made me look better at my job than I actually was! I will always be grateful to Ellen and I miss her friendship so much...Julie Zellat

I did not know Ellen as well as I would have liked, but she was a woman of grace and character. Her spirit lives on in the many lives she touched.

I can remember the support given to her mother as a very caring daughter. Ellen demonstrated niceness. She was one of the quartet of summer swimmers in the surf at Kingsborough. May she rest in peace!

I will always remember Ellen's smile and laughter as she shared stories about your trips to New Hampshire; those stories were often told over pancakes and real maple syrup also from New Hampshire. She was a strong woman with a compassionate heart and will be remembered lovingly by many.

Aunt Ellen I miss you every day that passes more and more. There isn't a moment that goes by that I don't think about you and miss you. You were more than an aunt you were a friend, a confident, a great listener and always there for all of us who truly cherished you and your love. I wish you were here and God didn't take you but I will never ever forget I will always remember how lucky I was and proud to have the very best aunt in the world...I love you forever and ever heart and soul till we meet again xoxo
