Difficult to forget a great lawyer, teacher and remarkable human being. Regards to his family and father who enjoyed Ballard in Seattle!

Eric taught at Browning when I took a film class during the interschool program in 1974. I was attending Nightingale-Bamford (1976). Amazing and loads of fun. It's the first time I saw Rear Window and The Rope. Great intro to Hitchcock. Can't remember the other films. Maybe Felini. He was great. I send my condolences to Eric Ordway's family and friends.
Eric's mother and grandmother were good friends with my dad, Jim Clarendon.

Mr. Ordway was my home room teacher in 9th grade. I respected him and all of the other teachers at Browning and whenever we met, usually at the annual Christmas party at Browning but occasionally for lunch in Manhattan, always addressed him as Mr. Ordway. He continually encouraged me to call him Eric but I never could. He was and will always be Mr. Ordway to me. Sincere condolences to Mrs. Ordway and the family.

Thank you to Mr. Ordway for his delightful personality, sense of humor and fantastic wit. I will never forget our times in independent study reading Victorian literature, and enjoying his insights into European history. I will also remember his very helpful prodding, along with his excellent wife Kate, to be the best Leonard Vole (Witness for the Prosecution) I could be. He was a tremendous inspiration for me in deciding to become a teacher, and to continue to work as an actor. My condolences to Kate and the entire family.

I had the privilege of working with Eric in a large arbitration case which required us to appear before a tribunal in Paris. We spent many hours together and Eric won the case. He was extraordinarily intelligent and a superb lawyer who treated all with respect and civility. Eric will be sorely missed but fondly remembered and respected by all.
