EVLYNN UDELL Obituary

UDELL--Evlynn, passed away on June 7th, 2022, at the age of 90. Evlynn lived in New York all her life. She was born on University Avenue in the Bronx, lived the life of a "bohemian" in college at The Fashion Institute of Technology, and eventually moved to Atlantic Beach with her beloved husband of more than 70 years, Arthur. Before marrying, Evlynn helped found Mori Lee Bridal with her brother and father, Morvin and Jack Leibowitz, which Arthur joined shortly there-after. Mori Lee will also be celebrating 70 years of its existence this coming March. Evlynn had a famously acerbic wit, and loved video poker, Jeopardy, and the Price is Right. She also loved hosting anyone and everyone for dinners at her Atlantic Beach home. Evlynn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Patricia; and five grandchildren. She is predeceased by Arthur, who passed away just six months ago; and her daughter, Amy, who inherited her spirit of bringing people together over food and celebration.

She was mine and my son's benefactresses. We will never forget that loved angel. Our lives gave a turn for the better with her help. Blessed forever Dear Lady.
