Felix Glaubach Obituary

GLAUBACH--Dr. Felix. Yeshiva University mourns the passing of Dr. Felix Glaubach, a cherished and respected leader whose profound dedication and vision have left an indelible mark on our community. Dr. Glaubach served as a distinguished member of the YU Board of Trustees, a board member of RIETS and Yeshiva College, and as both a current member and former chair of the Yeshiva University High School board. A proud alumnus of MTA (Class of 1946) and Yeshiva College (Class of 1950), Dr. Glaubach's steadfast devotion to Yeshiva University, the Jewish community and the State of Israel inspired a lifetime of transformative impact. His commitment to ensuring the success of our students inspired him to establish the Shevet Glaubach Center for Career Strategy and Professional Development, which empowers the next generations to excel as leaders in their respective fields. He is survived by his devoted wife, Dr. Miriam Glaubach; their children, Baruch (Ariel), Esther (David Muschel), Tammy (Dr. Hillel Bryk), Shulamit, Simeon, and Jonathan (Cory); and many adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren. May the family find comfort among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. Yeshiva University Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, President Ira Mitzner, Chairman of the Board

Dr. Glaubach was a towering Tzadeck and shomer of our people's precious legacy, both in terms of our heritage and in terms of the Judaica he lovingly collected and displayed. I was honored to help produce Dr. Glaubach's memoir book, "Touched by an Angel." I urge you to read it to learn more about the extraordinary life of this exceptional and stalwart Jew.

My deepest condolences. Dr. Glaubach was a brilliant and dedicated Jew. I was honored to assist him in writing his memoirs "Touched by an Angel." May his family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

We were saddened to hear of Felix’s passing. I am convinced that G-d picks contemporary leaders to complement prior leaders. Maimonaides was a Physician and Felix was an Orthodontist. That is pretty close. I knew Felix because I had cared for his sister. It was natural that I would call him when my Dad was very sick. He gave me his card and it said, CEO - Personal Touch. I don’t remember another time that the CEO of anything gave me his personal number. Felix was a take charge guy. He was resourceful and innovative and always full of ideas. He didn’t get discouraged or lose interest. All of those Jewish Organizations were very demanding of time and resources. Felix was a Giver. His Neshama should be Forever Blessed.

Felix was an incredible visionary and leader who fiercely fought for the wellbeing of the State of Israel, Jewish values and made an enormous impact on the direction and success of Yeshiva University. He will be missed by everyone who had the privilege to know him.
