FORREST VOSS

1949 - 2023

VOSS--Forrest Denney. Forrest Denney Voss, 74, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully with his wife Mary Lou by his side at home in New Canaan, CT on August 16th. Denney was born on April 24th, 1949 in Aurora, IL to Dorothy Denney Voss and Forrest Wayne Voss. He graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1971 where he became a member of the DKE fraternity and formed lifelong friendships. Following Officer Training School, Denney served in the Army and as a White House social aide. Denney went on to graduate from the Wharton School of Business in 1976. He spent most of his long career at Citibank where he worked in Sales, Trading and Portfolio Management. Denney will be remembered for his belief in treating everyone, stranger or not, to a friendly greeting, his willingness to do absolutely anything to make someone he loved happy while shrugging it off as nothing, his sparkling blue eyes and his incredibly loving and affectionate nature. Denney is survived by his beloved wife Mary Lou, his daughter Emily Lembo (Voss) and son-in-law Matt Lembo, his sons Parker and Carter Voss, his stepchildren, his seven grandchildren, and his brother Craig Voss (Martha) and sister Camela Dillard (Robert). A funeral service will be held at The Congregational Church of New Canaan on Thursday, August 24th at 2pm.
