FRANK MACNAMARA

MACNAMARA--Frank. Frank, who lived the American Dream, passed away on March 11, at the age of 85. Emigrating from Ireland in 1964, he began his career in media and advertising at the in-house Agency of American Home Products. Ever the entrepreneur, Frank co- founded MacNamara, Clapp & Klein, later MacNamara, Stewart, Saperstein, handling the advertising for English Leather Men's Fragrances, Cutty Sark, Travelers Insurance, and the New York Racing Association, among many other major brands. Then, with a group he put together and led, Frank created the Southampton Polo Club which, as President for 25 years, he built into the largest polo club in America. Surviving Frank are his siblings in Ireland, Maeve, Winnifred and Carmel, his beloved wife of 43 years, Patricia Stewart, and his faithful dog, Patrick.
