FRED KOVACS Obituary

KOVACS--Fred Lee, 91, of Scarsdale, NY, died April 29th. Much beloved husband of 59 years to Patricia, father of David Lee, of New York City, and Lynn of Del Mar, CA, father-in-law of Randi, pop-pop of Jonathan and Darci, brother of Mildred Rubenstein of Pittsburgh, PA. Retired after being President of the antiques firm of David Weiss Importers for over 35 years. Former president of the Art & Antique Dealers League of America, and former member of the Appraisers Association of America. US Army veteran having served in WWII as an officer. Former Vice-President of Heathcote Overhill Co-op Corporation and a former director of Garth Woods Conservancy. Funeral service on Tuesday, May 3 at 10am in the Chapel in the Woods at Congregation Kol Ami, 252 Soundview Ave., White Plains, NY. Burial following the service at Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. Shiva from 4-8pm Tuesday at the Kovacs home, 50 Popham Rd, Scarsdale, NY. Those who wish may send contributions to Congregation Kol Ami or The American Heart Association.
