FRED STILLMAN

1918 - 2021

STILLMAN--Fred, of Lake Worth, Florida and formerly of New Rochelle and Rye passed away on Friday September 18, 2021. He was 102 years old. Fred was born in New York on October 9, 1918 and was the son of Jack and Rose Stillman. He was the loving and devoted husband for over 70 years of Sylvia Grossman Stillman who predeceased him in June of 2018. Fred was also predeceased by his sister Sylvia Halpern and Raymond Stillman. He was a loving father of Roy (Angie), Andrew (Susan) and Jeffrey (Christina) Stillman. Beloved grandfather of Brian (Mary), Elizabeth (Cole), Jennifer (Adam)and Meredith (Alan), and Samantha and Jacob. He is also survived by his great-grand- children Mady, Jack, Natalie, Sydney, Ella and Austin. Fred was a WWII Army veteran and an Attorney. He work for many years with the United Jewish Appeal as a professional fund raiser and was instrumental in raising much needed funds for Israel at its birth. Fred than joined the family business Halpern & Stillman Investment Builders who built and owned many apartment buildings both in New York City and Westchester County. He was very active with the UJA-Federation, B'nai B'rith and the Anti-Defamation League. Both he and his wife Sylvia lived at the Fountains in Lake Worth Florida, a golfing community, allowing them to play the sport they so enjoyed. Family will be observing Shiva on Thursday from 1:30-4:00pm and 7:30-10:00pm at the Tamarack Country Club, Greenwich, CT. Contribution in Fred's memory can be made to the United Jewish Appeal.
