FREDERICK FEHRENBACH

FEHRENBACH--Frederick, age 86 of Kings Point, NY passed away peacefully on February 18, 2023. Fred was born on September 3, 1936, to Ludwig and Helen Fehrenbach in London, England. Fred grew up in Wethersfield, CT. and before graduating from the University of Hartford, he joined the US Army in the Mountain and Cold Weather Training Command where he taught skiing and winter survival. He maintained his love of skiing his entire life. Fred spent his career as an insurance producer with his own agency, Consolidated Brokerage Corporation. He was also on the board of The Dime Savings Bank of Williamsburg. Fred married Shelley Kalikow in 1991. His first wife was Gay Rappaport. They were married from 1960 until her death in 1987. They had two daughters, Baree and Brook. Fred is survived by his loving wife, Shelley, his children and stepchildren, Baree Fehrenbach and Brian Rothschild, Brook and Vince Coppola, Jon and Amy Kalikow and Jill Heller; his grandchildren, Jett, Esther, Bailey, Gunnar, Kyle, Anna, Vincent Jr., Sydney, Samantha, Phoebe, Audrey, Julia, and Luke; his brother Paul and sister-in-law Lynn, countless nieces, nephews, friends. He will be remembered for his wit, charm, and kindness.
