FREDERICK JOSEPH Obituary

JOSEPH--Frederick Morgenthau, a life-long resident of Manhattan and Sharon, CT passed away, just seven weeks short of his 95th birthday, on 27 January 2024 in Lincoln, MA. He was a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy, Harvard College, and Harvard Law School and was a long-time member of the University Club and All Souls' Church. Fred is survived by his wife, Katherine, his son, Fred, his daughter-in-law, Teresa Scott, and his grandsons, Caleb and Eli. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the Sharon (CT) Historical Society.

I´m so sorry to hear of Fred´s death. It is a long time since I last saw him but I have very fond memories if him as a kind family man. He together with you, Kay and Freddy, gave me such a lovely experience of living in NYC.

We met Kay and Fred on a trip to Morocco and fell in love with this delightful couple. We visited them at their homes in Sharon and NYC and really enjoyed their joie de vive.
We were looking forward to catching up with them this year. Sadly we will miss Fred, the perfect gentleman.
Wishing Kay and the family many, many happy memories.
