LEE--George. George Lee, passed away in the loving care of his family Sunday, March 2nd, 2014 at age 96, just days following the death of his wife and life-long love Jane Love Lee. He is lovingly remembered by his son James Love Lee and daughter-in-law Cynthia Rosenbloom Lee; son Jeffrey Lee; nieces and nephew: Penny Levin; Dayle Elizabeth Cummings and husband Jack; and Gary Levin and wife Mary Anne; and his grand-nieces and grand-nephews: Cherie Florio; Jimmy Florio; Gina Daze and husband Rock; Mark Cummings and wife Marysol; Nicole Hisler and husband Pram, Michael Levin and wife Dana; and Rick Levin. Mr. Lee was predeceased by parents Anna Racher Levin and John Meyer Levin of New Haven, Connecticut, and brother Ralph Levin and wife Mary. Mr. Lee served as a sergeant in the 12th Air Force during World War II and was called upon to contribute his musical talents to boosting troop morale while serving overseas. He enjoyed a multi-faceted career in the music industry: as featured vocalist and guitarist with the Buddy Morris and Stan Kenton Orchestras; as production, recording, publishing, promotion, and artist discovery/relations executive for his own and other major music labels, including B.M.I., Zodiac, Palette, Decca, Capital, RCA Victor, Warner Brothers/7 Arts/Reprise, Chappell, Polygram, and MCA; as signer and producer of such notable artists as Sammy Davis Jr., Lena Horne, Joan Rivers, Peter Paul & Mary, Arlo Guthrie, Jimi Hendrix, Hall & Oates, B.J. Thomas, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Morgana King; and as producer of original Broadway cast and film soundtrack recordings. He will be privately interred at his wife's side at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings-On-Hudson, New York, on Thursday, March 6th, 2014.
