GEORGE LUSK Obituary

LUSK--George B., 92, of White Plains and Dunewood, Fire Island, passed away peacefully Friday evening surrounded by his loving family. Born in Brooklyn, New York to Jack and Frances Lusk, he was the beloved husband of the late Ruth R. Lusk, cherished father of Jack (Jane Herzog), Lawrence (Marcia), Bill (Barbara Nusbaum) and Jim (Eileen). Adored grandfather to Becky, Emmy, Zachary, Madeline, Zoe, Isabelle, Darian, Sterling and Peyton. George was the president and owner of Westmail Press, a company he ran for over 50 years. He was a pillar of the Westchester community, serving as President at his beloved Congregation Kol Ami, Blythdale Children's Hospital, The Whilte Plains Board of Education, Southern Westchester BOCES and the Westchester Children's Association. Having attended Bucknell University, George went on to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II. An avid reader, perfect gentleman, a generous and kind man who will be missed by the many friends and family including his large Israeli family who adored him. Services will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2013 at Congregation Kol Ami, 252 Soundview Avenue, White Plains, New York. In lieu of flowers, contributions maybe sent to either Congregation Kol Ami or Blythdale Children's Hospital.
