I knew Gloria Landow my entire life. I had met her children generally within a year or two of my age. I knew little of Gloria as a person from my conversations with her yet from a few observations I had immediate and never wavering respect for Gloria’s intelligence, dedication to her family, closer friends, her desire to stay engaged in a challenge that others would shy away from and I saw, inferred that Gloria was always to be influential in any leadership role. It might be easy to be jealous of people who might have had it far, far easier than us yet Gloria always came across to me with far more humility and earthiness than so many financially well to do folk that I have met in my journey so far. I wish for Brian and Jonathon peace and I hope they continue to carry forward their own compassion, generosity, ongoing substantial anonymous charitable giving and to always tee up their sacrifice to those far less fortunate on the their own loving memory of their dear mother Gloria. — David Wachter Seattle WA April 2021
