GREGORY HALL

HALL--Gregory John. All of us at Barclays deeply mourn the loss of our beloved colleague and friend of nearly 30 years. Greg leaves an amazing legacy and will be remembered for his significant contributions to our franchise, for his character, and for his enduring friendships. Greg joined Barclays in 1991, when he joined Lehman Brothers in Debt Capital Markets. In his nearly three decades as a senior member of that team, he advised hundreds of clients and led many industry-defining deals. His work includes numerous notable transactions for leading energy and power companies. A proud and dedicated Yale alumnus, he was recently bestowed the Yale Medal, the highest award presented by the Yale Alumni Association honoring outstanding individual service to the university. At Barclays, Greg was the leader of our recruiting efforts, both at Yale and across all schools. He made frequent visits to college campuses across the country and mentored numerous analysts and associates. Greg went above and beyond in these endeavors to ensure new colleagues had a great experience upon joining the firm. It was this level of commitment that made it clear that Greg believed greatly in the power of close friendships, and it is that legacy that we will remember most. Countless employees and alumni of the firm would attest that they are better bankers and better people because of Greg Hall. Greg served as a role model for so many of us at Barclays in how he advised his clients, how he supported his colleagues, and in how he lived his life. He spoke often about his family, including his wife, Candace Killam Hall, and their three children, Whittemore, Austin and Abigail, and their spouses David Loaiza and Annie Hall, whom he loved dearly. Greg provided us with his invaluable perspective, wisdom, experience and advice. We are forever grateful for his tremendous contributions, and unwavering loyalty to his clients and colleagues.
