"In my end is my beginning..." here's to having Helen with us in this way

"She who was once with us is no longer--she is now wherever we are."

We were shocked to hear that Helen had died. She was a very special friend and a very special person. The type of person that is quite rare today.

I was lucky to photograph her most unique

jewelry for many years. My wife Roz & I

moved to Arizona a few years ago. We kept in touch with Helen by phone, and always saw her when we stopped back in

NY.

We will miss her dearly. We are both very

blessed to have known such a caring, talented, wonderful soul. She will live on

in our hearts forever.

I cannot believe that Helen is not with us anymore. Helen was a generous, beautiful, witty and talented woman.

As a young French woman, I met Helen in 1987 when I arrived in New York City and was working in a shop on Madison Avenue when she asked me to join her staff. I could not believe my luck when I visited her jewelry store. I felt so fortunate to work with this exquisite jewelry and with this exceptional woman. I admired her and envied her talent, her knowledge in dealing with beauty, her curiosity and sharing some laughs with her, Andrea and Sissi. Since then, we exchanged e-mails sharing our love for cats. I will never forget Helen Woodhull. She was my most exciting and beautiful adventure in New York, and without doubt during my 16 years in the US.

My deep condolences to Helen's family and friends

My photo of Helen was taken way back when--I guessed 1969--when Helen was visiting me at my Riverside Drive apt. She is holding my cat "Cloud" whom she adored as you can see by her expression-- Helen's love for cats was legendary and thats why I chose this photo to celebrate her. I hope we will hear from more of Helen's friends and fans and create a site worthy of our friend's creativity and loyalty. Beverly Hall

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Helen Woodhull, a good and wonderful friend. Gracious and giving, thoughtful, sensative to those around her and to the environment and animals, of which she cared so deeply. She will be profoundly missed by all those had the privilege of knowing her.

With great sadness,

Helen, was a special person. Caring more for others, and her pets, than herself, she dedicated herself to making the world a more beautiful place through her wonderfull Jewelry designs. She was dedicated to her many charity causes, and helped make conditions better for the Carriage horses. She was a valued client of our firm for over 20 years, and I enjoyed my monthly visits to her store/ and subsequent home studio. She always treated me as part of her "family" and she was as warm with all her employees, making Laura, Andrea and others feel equally at home. Even when we all went our own ways--we all stayed part of the Helen Woodhull family to Helen. When my sister-in-law -Ellen, became her accountant, she welcomed her as part of her family. My partners, and especially I will miss her greatly.

Helen and I were classmates at Stoneleigh-Prospect Hill from 1956-1958 we kept in close touch thru horses, art and family occasions for many years. I vistited Helen in all her venues--from NJ and family to village studios and uptown shops. She assisted me in The childrens arty gallery here on Nantucket for the summer of 1967. We shared many a laugh and enjoyed the company of our pets together. i cant believe my dear friend--THE CHIEF--is gone --her "Scribe" misses her terribly. love Beverly Mack Hall
