As Marlene and I prepare for another Seabourn cruise this fall, we inevitably think back to the Black Sea sailing so many years ago when we first met Herb and Sandi. Herb and I reverted to our junior high school persona; playing juvenile - but oh, so much fun - practical jokes on one another; then laughing until tears ran from our eyes. Now I think back on those long past times, and tears run once again from my eyes.

We first met Herb and Sandi in a Seabourn cruise through the Black Sea. We were at the same time charmed and amused by his off-color (same as mine) and unfailing sense of humor. We saw another, empathetic and caring, side of this complex man when he made insisted on using his considerable influence to help with a medical problem. He was truly an incredible one of a kind giant of a man, and will be sorely missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Herb's passing. I got to know Herb in the past several years through a mutual friend he went to college with, Morris Squire. Every trip to NY we enjoyed a good deli sandwich and sharing stories. What a remarkable man and life! His kindness and generosity was touched deeply by Moishe House and so many others. Herb's memory will certainly be a blessing!

So sorry to hear of Herb's passing! We were friends on the block and he would always stop to say hello to me and my pug Bobo. His cheerful smile and upbeat attitude is a testament to the warm human being he was. I will miss him and our chats. To his family & friends my sympathies, Jeff Sado

My husband, Jonathan, and I, friends of Harry and Pam, sat at the next table at Alex and Kevin’s wedding.
He was so happy and proud to see all his children together and to celebrate the nuptials!
