HERBERT RUBIN Obituary

RUBIN--Dr. Herbert S. Herbert Stanley "Doc" Rubin, 91, passed on September 28, 2025 in Boca Raton, FL. Born in Brooklyn, May 9, 1934, he was known for his free spirit and armchair philosophy. Herb graduated from Bklyn Tech and earned a BS and DMD from Tufts. He served as a Captain in the US Army. His distinguished career as a dentist in NYC to a colorful clientele included Mick Jagger, George Harrison and Lauren Hutton. He was sought after for his precise skill and artistic eye in a time before cosmetic dentistry existed. A legendary golfer, he was a 3x club champion at Bonnie Briar CC in Larchmont where he was a member for over 50 years. Herb was celebrated for achieving 5 holes-in-one in his lifetime, the last being at age 90 while recovering from a broken neck. Herbie, the man, the myth, the legend, had a passion for wine and weed which enriched many relationships throughout the course of his life. His eight grandchildren were his posse. Herb is survived by his loving wife Judy Stein Rubin; children, Susan Landsberg, Miles Rubin and Leslie Rubin, and grandchildren, Harley Landsberg Belmont, William Landsberg, Quin Landsberg, Elizabeth Rubin Penfold, Charlie Rubin, Avery Rubin, Jamie Sunkin Weissman and Michael Sunkin.
