Howard Schow always wanted to make the world a better place and the Episcopal Housing Alliance and Economic Development was one of several recipients of his and his family's generosity. Through our nonprofit agency we are able to provide affordable housing for seniors. Also, through our agency, we are able to provide small food-based business development for entrepreneurs through Chefs Center which is one of the most successful entrepreneurial programs that I have ever been associated with. This center, in particular, would never have made it without Howard's big-heartedness and open-handedness!

Howard Schow was truly one of the great men I have had the privilege of knowing. From his leadeship at AMCAP, to his enthusiasm in the Jolly Poly, to his founding of PRIMECAP, to his marvelous collection of marine painting, to his limited collection of clothing, to his unending and thoughtful generosity. I have nothing but fond memories of him and best wishes for his family. Guil Babcock
