IRWIN HOCHBERG Obituary
UJA-Federation of New York mourns the passing of Irwin Hochberg, a cherished leader and former chair of UJA's Board of Directors. Irwin was a giant in the Jewish community in New York, in Israel, and around the world, and his commitment to philanthropy was unparalleled. He was a leader of Project Renewal and of the merger of UJA and Federation. Irwin leaves behind a loving family to carry on a tradition of exceptional values, dedication, and service to the Jewish community. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his children, Mitchell (Suzan), Jonathan (Stacy), and Richard (David); grandchildren, Isabelle, Julia, Jordan, Ethan, and Sabrina; sister, Sybil Barer; and the entire family.
