It was an honor - and Big Fun - knowing you, Jane. You are one of my top how-to-age-gracefully role models. Your excitement and enthusiasm over things big & small and your love of people was infectious. It all started at jury duty c. 1991: (Rollins! Jack? Arlyne? Diane! Marshall? Woody! And we were off to the races...) Favorite memories: a grassy knoll off the Taconic, when the Mercedes mysteriously stopped running. I had two little kids, and was trying my best to keep them occupied, while you mused, "Well, I just don't know WHAT is wrong, I'm sure I filled it up in New York..." Later, on one of your hair-raising rides through Columbia County: "You simply MUST buy this place!" (we did). I know you are shmoozing with the Late Lamented now, and I fully expect to see you when I join their number. Not too, soon, I hope...

Jane, your presence and spirit have filled my life all along the way, your laugh will never fade, the wholeness of your being will continue to lift me up, your genuine joy will continue always to remind me how beautiful life is.You told us if we were thirsty to suck on a stone, thirst quenched with the idea of a spring. emily
