JED TAXEL Obituary

TAXEL--Jed Ian,

passed away on October 11 at the age of 39 from complications related to cancer. A native of Chappaqua, NY resided in New York City, he graduated from NYU, Cum Laud. A lifelong progressive, most recently, was CMO for BeneStream, a company focused on providing benefits to the working poor. Earlier he co- founded Blue Tiger Democrats and worked as Deputy Finance Director for Kerry for President. Jed's personality had a strong influence on people. Lifelong friends wrote: "there are armies of people Jed made a big impact on, and laughed with and inspired" and "He travelled, ate, cooked, loved, argued and politicked with absolute gusto and I adored and loved him for it." Jed is survived by his loving and devoted wife Tiffany, his parents Mark and Linda Taxel and countless cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws and friends. Services 10am, Wednesday, October 18 at "The Riverside" 76 St. and Amsterdam Ave.
