I'm just finding out about Jeff's passing and am so saddened. I've been in a void since COVID and had no clue.
I coached Jeff's daughter in Softball and he was always supportive, kind and helpful. A true friend indeed!!
He would share his tapings with me from time to time and we often discussed local town politics.
So many good memories with Jeff, Carmel, Josh and Caroline.
I remember how worried we were when Caroline was traveling outside the country and how he loved it when Josh came home and would shoot hoops with him
A gentle soul he was...
Prays to Carmel and his kids, spouses and grandkids

I just learned of Jeff's passing. I knew Jeff from the Catskill's Institute Conference. He was always so upbeat and helpful.
So sorry. May his memory be for a blessing.
Jeff and Mt Hood. He loved this mountain and we loved him back.

So glad we reconnected; so sad to see you go. Thank you for your friendship, the laughs, the one-liners, the insatiable curiosity, the spirit of giving and sharing and wonder and the music- oh baby, the music. Sorry I never got "Makin' Coffee" to you. Maybe on the other side. Carmel, swing by the next time you're near Mt.Hood. Peace. Wm

Deep condolences to all who knew him. Jeff was wonderful. We both worked at many "New Age" human potential events & expos, when peace, love, harmony & enlightenment were in fashion. . He was generous with his tapes. I gave me his amazing series on the Borscht Belt days. He was a beautiful man.

Jeff was an amazing soul. So much energy, valued learning and diversity and always inclusive of anyone he met. I am grateful to have known him in a personal capacity as a mentor, and enjoyed our many working and leisure time activities in Woodstock listening to music. He loved his family and friends and always encouraged learning new and interesting subjects. A fun memory is when we traveled to expos he would play the drums on the steering wheel to the classic rock tunes and I would air guitar and sing so it was fun to be on the road. No one like Jeff Gold. A great loss. God bless.

Mr. Gold was the grandfather I never had. He wasn’t just the man who took me on college trips but he was so much more. From museum trips and the ulster county fair during the summer and always making us see the animals first before we ran off to go on rides. He had the most precious soul. Mr. Gold always knew I’d amount to more than just Kingston and in my college journey I always think of him. When I got into nursing school I knew in the back of my mind that Mr. Gold was rooting for me. I just wish he could be there when I graduate but I know he’s always with me. I’m happy for all the memories that I’ll always have of him. The jokes, watching him play basketball at Marist, reading the newspaper or even just calling him and hearing “Jeff Gold here”. I will miss this man greatly. And to his family thank you for sharing him with so many of us in liberty partnership I know he touched so many lives the way he touched mine. I’ll forever be grateful.

I first met Jeff as colleagues at the Kingston Alternative High School and was immediately taken with his humor and vast intellect. A true renaissance man. When he walked into Bailey we continued our extended conversations on life and he shared many of his professional recordings with the likes of Robert Thurman, Sean David Morton and the Dalai Lama. I remember him also for his tireless advocacy for children and their education. He also had a great jump-shot! Rest well, and my condolences to his family.

My name is Bill Brundage and while I was teaching at Bailey I meet Jeff. We had many conversations over lunch where we shared our opinions on how to solve the world problems. Jeff’s intellect , kindness and willingness to consider all the data before he concluded his thoughts on a subject was his greatest asset. He touched so many lives !

Having worked with Jeff at Bailey, KHS, and even UCJ, I am saddened to hear of his passing. My sincere condolences to his family. What a good-hearted, easygoing and always smiling, funny character he was...he helped many of my kids, many others as well. RIP Jeff. I sure hope you get the Times up there!
