JEREMIAH OSTRIKER Obituary

OSTRIKER--Jeremiah. The Trustees and community of the American Museum of Natural History are saddened by the death of Jeremiah Ostriker, Trustee and Honorary Trustee since 1997. He was one of the most brilliant and influential astrophysicists of his generation, and the Museum was privileged to have his keen intelligence and passionate involvement during a period when it was creating the Rose Center for Earth and Space, building an astrophysics research program, and establishing the Richard Gilder Graduate School, all major initiatives he helped guide. His impact on science and the Museum will long be felt. Our deepest sympathies go to his wife, Alicia, and the entire Ostriker family. Scott L. Bok, Chair Sean M. Decatur, President
