Jerry A. Kocian

KOCIAN--Jerry A., of Port Charlotte, FL, Jefferson Township and Bergen County, died on Sunday, October 28, 2007 after a short illness. Beloved husband of the late Anne Kocian (nee Connell). Devoted father of Geraldine Stein and the late Denise Cummings. Loving father-inlaw of Gary Stein. Grandfather of Joseph Cottelli, Christopher and Nicholas Pannacciulli and Leslie and Michael Stein. Dear brother of Francis Slayton and the late Johanna Farley. Loved brother-in-law of Theresa Hopfner. Jerry was born in Hoboken, NJ and retired from the NY Times after fifty years as a printer. He was a member of the International Printing Pressman's Union, served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of Knights of Columbus in Port Charlotte, FL. Viewing will be at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ, on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 from 2-4 and 79pm and Wednesday, October 30, 2007 from 9:30 to 10:30am. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2007, 11am at Church of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, 700 Wyckoff Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Private cremation will be held.
