Joan was the most generous (especially with her love) friend we have ever met. And she did ot all so quietly and humbly. We miss you Joan.

Joan was a dear friend for over 30 years. I have great memories of her attending the parties in our NYC apartment. She would be the social butterfly while Carlo would sit at the door, welcoming every guest as if he were the mayor. Joan loved Weston Priory and I remember the times she and Mary Dunleavy, her dear friend who died four days after Joan, would sit by the fireplace and watch the snow fall. Joan was one of the most generous people I have ever met. She was always inclusive of others, especially the marginalized, and led her life according to the Gospel. Joan, Hiroshi and I miss you but know you will be welcoming us to heaven when the time comes. Love, Michael
