Joe was my school friend. Despite our different religions we got on well together and continued our friendship through medical school. We were evacuated together during the war and stayed together at the home of the vicar of Longsdon in Staffordshire! Then Joe went to America and we lost contact. R.I.P. Joe!

I was evacuated in 1939 to Longsdon. Staffordshire with Joe when we schoolboys together in Manchester. We were both from Didsbury, Manchester and we both later qualified in Medicine together at Manchester University medical school.

My deepest condolences to the entire Dwek family on your loss...I was an intern and resident during Dr. Dwek's tenure as Chair/Director of Medicine at Booth Memorial.Although he was particularly hard on me,especially at "morning report", I give him credit for ultimately helping me become the physician and "clinician" I am today.

My deepest sympathy to Dr. Dwek's family. He cared for my mother at Booth Memorial Hospital. I will always remember the compassionate, respectful way he treated her. He was an outstanding doctor and a caring man.

Dear Adele and family. I am so deeply sad to hear of your loss. I think of you often and will always remember the kind and loving ways of your father and how I was always welcomed in your home when we were kids. Sending you tight hugs filled with love. Lisa Kozlowsky
