JOHN DANIELS

DANIELS--John H. NewYork-Presbyterian and Columbia University Irving Medical Center celebrate the life and mourn the passing of John H. Daniels. John and his wife, Myrna, shared a deep commitment to research, patient care and education, making a tremendous impact across our institutions, particularly in the fields of cardiology and psychiatry. Their generous giving included the establishment of the John and Myrna Daniels Professorship of Cardiology as well as the John and Myrna Daniels Professorship of Psychiatry in Honor of Dr. Herbert Pardes at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, which supports faculty education in geriatric psychiatry. They also established the John and Myrna Daniels Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, as well as the Myrna L. Daniels Auditorium in the Vivian and Seymour Milstein Family Heart Center. John was our staunch advocate and cherished friend. We offer our condolences to his wife, Myrna, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and to the rest of their extended family.
