In the past year of loss and grief, I´ve been reminded more and more of Dr John Diamonds words and work. I am also deeply grateful for the many years of love and healing he shared with my daughter as she navigates great personal grief . I feel that having known him and benefited from his work , that that precedent has guided me to recognise comparable strengths and goodness in others. Not least myself. Even though I never met John Diamond, he had a big impact on my life. I opened a professional school for somatic bodywork therapies in California in 1984. In 1986, one of my associates introduced me to Dr. Diamond's work. I incorporated a lot of his work into my course curriculum and his book, "Life Energy", became one of my course texts. I mastered muscle testing and taught it to 400 people through my institute. I regret that I never had the opportunity to meet him personally. He was a truly special human being.

I met Doctor John a number of times when I was a street performer in London. He used to regularly stop by Covent Garden and take photos and chat with the buskers. He was a very nice man and has always stuck in my memory. I was saddened to learn of his passing.

Words do not easily express how much Dr. Diamond truly transformed my life. He always had the ability to see deeply into another person, to show them their truest, most loving selves. He illuminated so many of our paths, and involved us all in the art of helping others. Both he and Susan, always with such grace, guided me in so, so many ways.
They showed such love to me, my mother and my father, helping us all along the way. Always giving so much of themselves, and sharing their lives, their lessons, their creativity and their love. I was, and am, so very blessed.
I remember when Dr. D first took me photographing; it was near his home in New York. A small unassuming shed, the outside walls peeling with white paint. Suddenly, what seemed so ordinary became so endlessly fascinating; a life lesson that I carry within my heart to this day. I photograph now, a treasured gift from Dr. D, and aspire to all those life lessons he shared with me.

I am so sorry to hear this news, I live in Australia. I was a patient of Dr. John Diamond and I never forgot him. He saved my life. He validated concerns I had at the time and was always so caring. I never forgot him ever and still read about him and his books to this day. He made a huge contribution to my life and to so many many others. I am very sad to hear of Dr. Diamond’s passing! I am an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of British Columbia, in Kelowna BC, Canada. My field is perception.
As a Graduate student in Experimental Psychology at New York University, Through Carlton Frederick’s radio broadcasts on WOR and also through a fellow graduate student, I came to know Dr. Diamond. I studied with him in the early 80s, in Valley Cottage NY. I became fascinated with his methods for testing Life Energy, and I became an avid tester of people, for a time. He gave me the opportunity to practice his work, on my own. I remember discussing counter transference with him.
I knew his mother slightly, when she was living with them, his former wife Betty, his present wife Susan and his son Ian. My condolences go to all of you and all of his family and friends and students and acquaintances.
My interest in promoting Life Energy took root professionally 20 years ago, with the founding of the Gabias Wellness Center and our work with a Japanese Wellness company called Nikken. Dr. Diamond had a profound personal influence on my life. I was so lucky to know him. He had so many spirit guides, as we heard through his later work. I only hope that he will continue to be a spirit guide to me and countless others! He was truly 1 in a million!

The word Polymath could have been coined especially for JD. Health, nutrition and healing, music, photography, poetry, writing, teaching. JD was an expert on anything and everything. Want to know what is the best fountain pen, camera or trumpet, ask JD he just knew everything.
I watched him work in the UK, Australia and the USA and was fortunately to have learned at his feet. JD never refused help or advice to anyone, he was always there for people who he thought he could help with a problem. John had a spiritual insight into everything. He was able to teach his students what is good but more importantly why it was good.
JD changed my life in so many positive ways such as the importance of colour, the shapes of images and many more things. I've lost count of the number of times that I noticed eminent scientists writing books and articles which were clearly based (uncredited) on ideas that JD had put forward and published years earlier, he was a real pioneer and pathfinder. JD had an extraordinary ear for music and sound. I watched him change the sound of a band in a theatre from poor to fantastic purely by moving peple and instruments around. At the inaugural concert of the concert hall at NYU a few years ago he 'sensed' a sound fault and got into a disagreement with the engineer who had created and built the sound system. The engineer declared it was impossible for anything to be wrong. JD shrugged his shoulders and carried on as best as he could. Ten minutes later a red faced engineer came along and apologised heartily saying that one of the microphone connectors out of dozens had been connected out of phase and and now been fixed. I believe it was incredible that anyone could have sensed that just by sound and feel. JD was nothing short of extraordinary.
Through JD, I found myself and thanks to him I learned to release my ability to sing and understand what differentiates great from good.
