Long ago, Judge Gibbons mediated a sexual harassment case in which I represented the plaintiff. He told me that I was the most stubborn woman he ever met. After I responded, "Well, that is because you never met my mother", he laughed and successfully settled the case.
He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of serving with John on the Holy Cross Board in the 1990s. He was a remarkable man who embodied the best that Jesuit education strives to produce in its graduates. May he now know all the fruits of a life so wisely and justly lived.
