JOHN KAUFFMANN

KAUFFMANN--John, died peacefully at the age of 92 on October 27, 2023. A native New Yorker, John quickly discovered a love for learning and graduated from the Ethical Culture Fieldston school. He went on to attend Harvard University and Harvard Law School where he served as an editor of The Harvard Law Review. John attended "The Game" faithfully for decades, cheering on the Harvard football team loudly, and the marching band even louder. After serving in the Judge Advocate General's Corps, he enjoyed a long career with Neuberger Berman. John was deeply passionate about his work and approached each day with genuine excitement. He was meticulous and thorough, and committed himself to understanding a topic or a client's needs completely. However, his first and forever love was that for his family. John was a remarkable husband, father, and grandfather, and will be deeply missed for his quiet, yet beautiful devotion. He is survived by his wife, Jane Kauffmann, daughters, Karen Van der Linden, Anne Kauffmann, Elizabeth Duppstadt, and Sarah Goldman, and eight grandchildren, Georgia Van der Linden, Zoe Van der Linden, Chase Ota, Cameron Duppstadt, Sloane Duppstadt, Harley Duppstadt, Elliott Goldman, and Remy Goldman. A celebration of his life will take place on December 9, 2023.
