SLY KIDS ,
Saw thisin the NYT today. When I was at NIH, John Potts lived in a big rental house with two other young doctors from Boston. One was John Singleton. I lived alone in the "apartments" on NIH grounds , was engaged to mom who was far away and I and was quite lonely. John Singleton moved out mid year when he married Louise. John Potts invited me to replace him and I lived the rest of the year in the big house . When mom and I married, theSingletons were very friendly, generous and nice to us. I lost track of them when they moved to Denver a year later. I discovered what an interesting, full and productive life they lived from the obituary. Too go not to be shared. Enjoy!

I remember how those of us at University Hospital could always depend on him for expert and compassionate care of the patients we referred to him. I remember my dismay when I heard he was retiring those many years ago! I am glad he was able to be active and enjoy his later years however.

What a full and productive life! We lost track of John and Louise after they left NIH but have nice memories of how friendly and generous they were to us as a newly married couple there.
Our heartfelt sympathy to Louise and her children. Dr William Sly and Peggy, St Louis, MO
