They say you are still alive as long as you are remembered. I didn´t know that Jon had passed until now when I was looking to reconnect. I am so saddened to learn the news and just expected Jon to be there. My memories of Jon are very much alive in how he reveled in the opening of world of finance in new markets, confidently commandeering his ship through those wild and choppy waters. He was a great mentor to young professionals and taught a brand of professionalism you don´t see much of in finance these days. Jon was a kind, thoughtful and trustworthy business colleague. I know he was proud of his family and his people at AG. He was always cheerful, ever erudite and happily in search of the next frontier and adventure. My deepest condolences to his family, at this late date of discovery. Drew Guff

I knew Jon briefly during the 60's when he visited our home on weekends with his then wife Jackie who is my cousin. I grieve for your loss as I will always remember him as a great guy.

Annie and Joseph and family,
He shall be missed by so many whose lives he touched with his integrity, good humor, fairness, and a spirit of "giving back" for what life had given to him.

I am deeply saddened by the news. Jonathan was a man larger than life who truly cared about people. He was a pioneer in emerging markets and was genuinely interested in developing African capital markets. My sincere condolences to his wife and children. We will be missing this great man.

I am shocked and deeply saddened by this news. Jon was the wisest and most unique soul I have ever met in my journey through the financial markets. I will miss him greatly. Rest in peace Jon.

I was shocked to learn about the demise of Jonathan Auerbach, a great person and an avid supporter of emerging markets, in particular Africa where I come from. Jonathan was phenomenal in his approach to business. It was an honor to have known him. I benefited from his wisdom and intellect. My sincere condolences to Mrs Auerbach, his children and extended family. He will be sadly missed. May his soul rest in Peace. Clare Mukolwe, Graduate Business student - Fordham University.
