I just found out last night that Jonathan died. I am still reeling. Jonathan was one of my first lighting friends when I started working at the Guggenheim Museum. Whenever we spoke, he was always happy to help but also happy to chat about lighting, life and his family. My heart goes out to Sue and the kids, the rest of his family and everyone that new him. Jonathan's memory will always be a blessing.

Jonathan was simply a really nice person, he was an important customer but also a mentor to me with his lighting and industry knowledge. I was only chatting to him at IBC in Amsterdam a few weeks ago. I feel very honoured to have had the opportunity to know him and his memory will live with me for many years to come.

So sad to hear of Jonathan's passing. Dear Resnick family, my heart goes out to you with prayers and comfort. I didn't know you - just Jonathan as a relatively short-time employee of Barbizon many years ago. But I have always enjoyed seeing him every year at USITT. He always remembered me, smiled his huge smile, and was genuinely interested in what I was doing. So encouraging and inspirational. He will be very, very missed. You are so blessed with the gift of his years in your lives. Peace to all of you.

Rich, Gabriel, Noah and I were deeply saddened to hear of Jon's passing. Our many days on the soccer field with Jon as Gabe's coach gave us a meaningful glimpse into the kind, positive, supportive and loving person Jon was. The world, in general, and our Chappaqua community, specifically, lost a great man. His beautiful legacy will live on in all those who love him. We are thinking of all the Resnicks during this most difficult time. The Weissmann Family

Jon was a true Great Oak Tree among men. We have great memories of time spent with Jon and Sue at Perlmutter family gatherings in Chappaqua and I cannot think of a single image of him in my head where he was not smiling or laughing. Jon personified the definition of "Mensch" in every sense of the word. We will miss him and his warm and gentle brilliance. To Sue and the kids: We hope take comfort celebrating the beautiful moments your shared with Jon during his life and we wish that you should know no more sorrow.

Generous and welcoming with a ready smile. Working with him for so many years and my tenure on the executive team at USITT I came to know what a kind and generous man Jon was. In the years that we were bringing Firestone students from Akron Ohio to New York, Jon always made sure that we could have a professional workshop experience in their lighting lab. A family man, he was always talking about what his kids and his family were doing and I very much appreciated his generosity of spirit both to me and to my son who was very young when he first start attending the HS trips with us. I will keep his memory in my heart. He will be dearly missed not only by me but by the students of AKRON school for the arts. Blessings and condolences to his family. Elynmarie Kazle

When I think of the early days at CNBC, Jon is part of those happy memories. We missed him when he went to Barbizon. Jon was personable, funny, smart and kind. The hole in your family's collective heart must be crater-sized. I am thinking of you all...so sorry for your loss.
