Will never forget the day Joseph arrived on cat cay only to find out that I rented his home out to former President Nixon - he´d was so pleased! And the fact that both arrived nearly at the same time on the island. Joseph was so surprised and pleased at the same time. Had a smile on his face a mile long. Hello Jurate and family, I've just recently learned of the passing of Dr. Kazickas and want to express my sincere sympathy for your loss of a truly great man. I don't know if you'll remember me but I'm Fred Winkler once Island Manager of Cat Cay Club under Willard F Rockwell, Jr. I'll never forget the expression on your dads face when I rented your house to President Nixon on his first visit to Cat Cay. Esame giliai sujaudinti žinios apie gerbiamo ir mylimo Daktaro Juozo Kazicko mirti. Daktaras buvo nuostabus žmogus, giliai jauciantis savo tautos tragedija ir likima, daug padejes atstatant Lietuvos Nepriklausomybe.
Jo paramos deka Vilniaus šv. Kazimiero bažnycioje baigti statyti vieni geriausiu Rytu Europoje vargonu. Cia Kristupo vasaros festivaliu Sakralines muzikos koncertuose laiko garbe dalyvauti geriausi atlikejai iš viso pasaulio. Šiuos koncertus jau 12 metus remia Daktaro Juozo Kazicko Šeimos Fondas.
Vieno garbiausiu Lietuvos žmoniu - Daktaro Juozo Kazicko vardas amžiams liks tautos širdyje.
Prašome Jusu priimti pacia nuoširdžiausia užuojauta.

Gerb. Juozo Kazicko šeimos nariai,
Dievas dovanojo žmogui gyvybe, bet savo likima žmogus turi tvarkyti, kurti pats – suvokti atsakomybe už pasirinktus darbus. Kryžiaus kelio retoravimas Jaruzaleje kelia nuostaba ir pagarba Juozo Kazicko šeimai.
Manome, kad prasminga prisiminti Juozo Kazicko mintis: „Mano požiuriu Jaruzale – tikrasis krikšcioniu religinis centras, tai musu tikejimo ištakos. Miestas, kur Kristus neše savo kryžiu, kad kanciose atpirktu žmonijos nuodemes, mums turetu buti svarbesnis ir už Roma, kuri yra tik popiežiu sostine.
Negalejau suprasti, kaip Galgotos kelias, kuri lanko viso pasaulio krikšcionys, gali buti apleistas: dulkiu debesys, šiukšles, aplink apsilaupe, apire arabu namukai.
Kryžiaus kelio restoravimas buvo gana brangus projektas. Numatyta ir tolesne šios vietos priežiura. Musu šeima isipareigojo rupintis, kad Kryžiaus kelias visada atrodytu patrauklus.
Kristaus kancios kelias buvo laiku baigtas tvarkyti, suremontuoti arabu krautuveliu fasadai. Irengtas Kryžiaus kelio apšvietimas. Restoravimo pabaigos iškilmes vyko 2000 metu kovo menesi.
Pirmiausia musu šeima suklaupe prisiminti Kestucio, musu sunaus ir musu vaiku mylimo brolio, vele“.
Lankantis Jaruzaleje prieini Kristaus kelio pradžia ir susimastai, koks reikšmingas Juozo Kazicko atliktas darbas, kokia didi pagarba pasaulio kulturai ir kaip prasmingai per savo asmeni iprasminta Lietuva.
Tegul Dievas laimina Jus šia liudesio minute ir teikia stiprybes prisiminimai apie Juozo Kazicko prasmingus darbus.

Šia sunkia skausmo valanda norisi ne tik nuoširdžiai užjausti visus J. Kazicko artimuosius, bet ir palinketi jiems testi jo pradetus darbus. Cikagos lituanistine mokykla dekoja Kazicku šeimos fondui ir tiki, kad J. Kazicko darbai, jo šviesus atminimas ilgai išliks musu mokiniu, mokytoju ir teveliu širdyse. Ilsekites ramybeje, brangus mecenate. Te bus lengva Jums žemele, o Jusu begaline meile Lietuvai ir gerumas žmonems te nuses ir musu mokinuku širdyse.

Juozas Kazickas buvo tas, - kuris mokejo sužadinti vilti kitiems! Tai buvo neeiline asmenybe, tikras lietuvis ir Lietuvos patrijotas iki širdies gelmiu, nepaprastas žmogus, mecenatas, ženkliai prisidejes prie Lietuvos laisves prikelimo.
Amžina atilsi duok mirusiam, Viešpatie, tebuna jam lengva žemele.
Nuoširdžius užuojautos žodžius skiriu vaikams, anukams, giminems, visiems ji pažinojusiems žmonems.
Garbe buvo pažinti ir bendrauti su tokiu žmogumi.
