Frieda Davis Obituary



Frieda L. Davis, 98 of Roanoke passed away, Monday, February 22, 2016. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Bond and her husband, David E. Davis, Jr.   Frieda is survived by her son, David E. Davis, III and his wife Connie; grandson, Steven Davis; nieces, Sammie Duvall and Pat Harr, cousins and many special friends here in Virginia and in Ohio.  Frieda was an extremely humble woman who loved music and singing throughout her life.  She was a hairdresser for more than 50 years and was quite athletic in her early years.



 



Her family will receive friends Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 5 – 8 PM at Oakey’s Roanoke Chapel, 318 Church Avenue, Roanoke. A service celebrating Frieda’s life will be held Thursday at 2 PM at Raleigh Court United Methodist Church, 1706 Grandin Rd SW, Roanoke, VA 24015 with Pastor Seungsoo Jun and Pastor Roy Miller officiating.  Interment Evergreen Burial Park.  On-line condolences may be sent to www.oakeys.com
