My condolences to Joyce's family and friends on her passing. I had the pleasure of knowing her from my being a nurse at St. Vincent's in NYC. I worked as a nurse on the AIDS Unit and would see her working tirelessly with so much compassion and showing dignity to all. She was a true friend to the HIV/ADS community. Thank you Joyce for all you did.

Please accept my deepest condolences. Joyce was a wonderful, generous friend and doctor. I admired her; she was a maverick and did what she thought was best for her patients. My friendship with Joyce began when we both worked at St. Vincent's Hospital during the HIV/AIDS crisis. I will miss her. I am sorry that I wasn't able to attend her funeral. I know she loved her children and grandchildren. May their memories of her bring comfort.
