JULIA GOLDIE Obituary

GOLDIE--Julia Harvey. Julia Harvey Goldie passed away peacefully at her home on October 14, 2025 from Alzheimer's. Born on July 9, 1944, in Philadelphia, Julie was a beacon of light and warmth to her beloved husband of 55 years, Robert H. Goldie, and to her devoted children: Robert J. Goldie and his wife Phoebe Lynch of Portland, Oregon; John L. Goldie and his wife Karen Selody of Wellesley, Massachusetts; and Kathryn L. Goldie of New York City. She was also the adored grandmother of Rowan J. Goldie, Rhys T. Goldie, Greta V. Goldie, and Theodore J. Goldie. Julie attended the Baldwin School in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University. Following graduation, she spent two years in Tunisia with the Peace Corps, which inspired a love of Africa and service to others. She worked for the Institute of International Education, an NGO under the auspices of the United Nations, helping to place foreign students in American universities before retiring to Rye, NY to raise her family. Julie loved gardening and horseback riding and competed enthusiastically in hunter- jumper events and flower shows with the Little Garden Club of Rye. She was a beacon of light and warmth. A burial service will take place at Christ's Church Rye at 2 Rectory St, Rye, NY on November 1 at 11am, followed by a reception at the Manursing Island Club in Rye.
