KAREN YAFFE Obituary

YAFFE--Karen. After a valiant battle, on January 13, 2019, Karen Yaffe, superstar wife and mom, matriarch of the family, beloved friend, and new grandma died peacefully at home. She is survived by a loving family consisting of husband of 39 years, Dr. Bruce Yaffe, sons, Ben and Andrew, daughter-in-law, Christen, brand new granddaughter, Hannah and sister, Lynn Silverman and husband, Bob. She will be missed by all at the offices of Yaffe, Ruden and Associates, The Dalton School, and by a multitude of committed friends and family. She was the ultimate 'go to' girl. Dear Ben and family,
I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you how very sad I was to learn of your mother's passing. While I did not know her well, I liked her very much and she was a good, lovely and strong woman. I am so sorry.
My thoughts are with you.

I knew and loved Karen from Perth Amboy to Boston. She was kind, beautiful, full of life, and, always had that breathtaking smile There was not a mean bone in that body. I will always keep her spirit and persona alive in my mind. Mort Rosenberg

My deepest sympathy to Bruce and Karen's family. Karen and I grew up together in Perth Amboy, and then I had the pleasure of being her "upstairs neighbor" for awhile when we lived in the Pavilion in NYC. As beautiful and lovely then as she was when we were kids.
