KENNETH EISOLD Obituary

EISOLD--Kenneth. We, the family of Kenneth Eisold, Ph.D., wife Barbara Eisold, daughters Katherine Miller, Elizabeth Blaylock; grandchildren Zachary Miller, Laura Miller Alexander Blaylock, Meredith Heller, Samantha Heller Blair, their partners and extended family, mourn his death by an accident on August 1, 2025, aged 90. Professionally he contributed greatly to the understanding of intolerance in psychoanalytic organizations. Privately he gardened passionately/beautifully. Personally, he knew how to love and was loved deeply in return. Remembrance will be held October 3, 2025, 3-5pm, Ethical Society, 2 West 64th St, New York, NY 10023. Contributions, in lieu of flowers, should be sent to Metropolitan Opera or William Alanson White Institute.

Ken was my classmate at the William Alanson White Institute during the psychoanalytic training period from 1983-1987 and I will always remember him as an astute, insightful and critical commentator on the reading material and class discussions we had. His language proficiency infused with clarity and, when appropriate , with humor, gave a certain lightness to the seriousness of our discourses. I believe he contributed also to the dissimination of the psychoanalytic approach in the American corporate world and beyond that contributed also to the acceptance of diversity in our psychoanalytic circles. With fondness I remember also a class meeting we had at his home with Barbara as gracious co-host : my condolences to her and his family.
