All I wanted was a soft coated wheaten terrier for as long as I can remember. I was 25 at the time and battling cancer. After my last chemo I went to Westport with my best friends and Ofcourse fell in love with one of the SCWT. Her name is Lilly and she will be 9 in May.. Unfortunately I had cancer 2 more times and ever since it´s been constant health problems. Lilly has brought me an immense amount of joy, she´s the love of my life and I just wanted to thank Lauren for bringing Lilly in my life. May you rest in peace.

I am so sad. Lauren gave me my sweet Monty (back in 2007) and he lived to 17 1/2 years. She introduced me to the breed Havanese, now I have my 4th one. I lost Monty 2/2024, I remember Max said my mom has a puppy you will love, and I did, I think of my sweet Monty daily. My new guy "Shorty" is a joy , I was looking to bring him to Westport for her to meet him and I see the shop is closed and Lauren has passed away. I am just learning of her passing, so young . My heart goes out to Ilyssa and Max. (from the college office at RCDS)

Lauren was a wonderful, kind, and caring person. The last time we spoke she greeted us with love and happiness. We promised her we would visit again with our new family member. We had no idea that day would be the last we would see her. Lauren we are keeping a promise, honey is now 1 year old. Thank you for everything.

What terribly sad news... I´m only learning of it now. Lauren was a wonderful woman... So kind and loving. Our golden doodle Atlas is now 11 years old and has been the light of my life. I´ve taken him back to visit Lauren often... I am so sad to hear of her passing. My condolences to Lauren and Monty`s children....

I´ve known Lauren since 1997 when I got engaged and bought our first puppy from her, We became great friends over the years. I was looking today to come get another one and saw this, I´m keeping the family and friends in my prayers going forward.

Lauren inspired me and gave me an opportunity to realize my passion for taking care of little dogs. We shared many struggles together as well as fun times! I have two furry children from her store that I love dearly and will never forget the day I met her when I went in to pick up Gracie (with Peanut & Widget) when the store was in Westport and she guided me to the proper name for my new furry child. That was just the beginning of our bond. Rest in peace sweetie!

My deepest condolences to her family. Lauren never stopped talking and glowing with love about her family. I am so heartbroken to hear of this. She was passionate, loving, devoted, funny and outspoken and I loved those traits in her. She will be missed.

my prayers and blessings are with her family. she was suppose to meet me in Stratford after 5/27 for my birthday. we just texted while she was in the hospital and right after discharge. i will miss her dearly.

Lauren had a HUGE heart! she would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She loved her puppies and speaking with kinds of customers at her store. Lauren is really a one of a kind and she will be missed. My condolences to Bill & family.

I first met Lauren when I moved to Westin she embraced me and my family immediately. Thanks for all the years of laughter and girls time out. You will truly be missed.
