LEONARD LAUDER

LAUDER--Leonard. The Trustees and staff of The Museum of Modern Art mourn the passing of Leonard Lauder. Leonard was a member of the Architecture & Design Committee since 1978 and contributed 191 important works to MoMAs collection. His most recent gift of Ferdinand Andri's XXVI Secession Ausstellung poster was on view from July 2023 through July 2024 as part of the Vienna Secession collection-based exhibition. The 48 Secession and Jugendstil postcards he gave to us are evidence of his passionate collecting, and his commitment to remarkable works of graphic design that form such a substantive part of our collection. We are deeply grateful for his contributions to this Committee over the years and for his extraordinary generosity to the arts at large, especially here in New York.We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Judy, his two sons, William and Gary, and his five grandchildren.
